Leaf blowers are incredibly polluting

Using a blower for one hour a day produces 7.5 tonnes of emissions / year . A sedan driven 40km five days / week spews out a mere 2.7 tonnes of emissions.

The hydrocarbon emissions produced from one-half hour of residential leaf blower operation are equal to the emissions produced from driving 2200 miles, comparable to a round trip from Denver to San Diego.
Commercial leaf blowers with more horse power are even more polluting. They are also incredibly noisy.
